    Function coneGeometry

    • A cone about the +Y axis, base at -height/2 and apex at +height/2, centred on the origin (ยง53 "cone").

      const geometry = coneGeometry({ radius: 0.5, height: 1 });

      Built as a cylinder whose top radius is zero, so the apex is a degenerate ring of radialSegments + 1 coincident vertices rather than one shared vertex. That is deliberate: a single apex vertex could carry only one normal and one uv, which would shade the whole cone from one direction and smear the texture. The degenerate quads collapse to zero-area triangles and rasterize to nothing.

      Only the base is capped (capped: false omits it); an apex needs no disc.
