Which side of the path the stroke band occupies (§58 StrokeStyle).
The sides are named from the path's own direction of travel: inside is
the band entirely to the left of it, outside entirely to the right,
and center straddles it. On a ring wound counter-clockwise — the winding
every §50 shape produces, and the one §7a's Y-up plane makes positive —
the enclosed region is the left, so inside and outside mean what they
say without a second rule; on a ring wound clockwise (a hole) they swap,
which is also what they should do, because the material of an annulus is
outside its inner circle.
